Presentation Overview: Trends in SOA
The implementation of a service-oriented architecture (SOA) offers many benefits to organizations as they work toward realizing the potential of true business agility. The Trends in SOA talk discusses The Standish Group’s research study of the top 10 drivers that are influencing decisions on how IT implements SOA. The research study report identifies, defines, and analyzes the top 10 drivers in the SOA marketplace. It breaks down each driver into several areas and explains the reasons why they are affecting the adoption of SOA.

About the Speaker
Mr. James (Jim) H. Johnson is the founder and chairman of The Standish Group. He has been professionally involved in the computer industry for over 40 years and has a long list of published books, papers, articles and speeches. He has a combination of technical, marketing, and research achievements focused on mission-critical applications and technology. He is best known for his research on transactional middleware, as well as project and system failures. Jim is a pioneer of modern research techniques and continues to advance in the research industry through virtual focus groups and case-based analytical technology.
