SOA Consortium to Present Top 5 Insights Learned from Executive Summits
Free Webcast to review results of SOA Executive Summit
focus
group meetings held with FORTUNE 1000 business executives
Needham, MA, USA – March 13, 2007 – The SOA Consortium™, where SOA Means Business™, today announced that it will present a free webcast on the “Top 5 Insights” learned from their recently completed SOA Executive Summit focus group meetings. Leading executives from FORTUNE 1000™ corporations, major government agencies and non-governmental organizations, provided candid feedback on the mission, vision, strategies and tactics of the SOA Consortium and participated in a lively roundtable discussion on real-world SOA implementation opportunities and challenges.
In an open webcast on Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. EDT, Richard Mark Soley, Ph.D., executive director of the SOA Consortium, and Brenda Michelson, principal of Elemental Links, will share “The Top 5 Insights” from the Summits. All are welcome to participate in this live webcast with Q&A session.
“The SOA Executive Summits were a huge success, thanks to the participation of smart, insightful and outspoken C-level executives. The participants were actively engaged in the conversation right from the opening presentation of the SOA Consortium’s mission and vision. From their enthusiastic responses, it was obvious that there is a clear demand for the SOA Consortium and its advocacy mission,” said Richard Mark Soley, Ph.D., executive director, SOA consortium. “The feedback we received is that we need to focus on the business issues of defining, integrating, measuring and reusing business services. Those comments have validated the SOA Consortium’s mission and we know that we are headed down the right path.”
A more detailed presentation of the findings will be presented to the SOA Consortium’s members at their inaugural meeting in San Diego, California on March 28-29.
