The BPM Consortium and SOA Consortium Issue
Call for Participation: BPM and SOA in the Cloud
Long Beach, CA; December 8 and 9, 2009

Needham, MA, USA – September 2, 2009 – The Business Process Management Consortium (BPM-C), in cooperation with the SOA Consortium (SOA-C), today issued a Call for Participation for the BPM / SOA Symposium, to be held in Long Beach, CA USA on December 8th and 9th, 2009. BPM-C and SOA-C are OMG™ managed groups. Submissions are due by October 15, 2009. For more information, please visit http://www.bpm-consortium.org and http://www.soa-consortium.org/.

The BPM / SOA Symposium is one in a series of on-going events looking at ways that management business processes can yield great benefits for enterprises. This session is a forum for BPM-C / SOA-C members and non-members to present and discuss experiences, recommendations and visions on the ways a business can most effectively plan and deliver on the benefits of BPM and SOA in the Cloud.

Submissions are limited to this focused topic and may include:

  • Real-life experience in BPM undertakings
  • Strategies and tools for managing business processes
  • Innovative use of tools, models or management approaches for same
  • Governance experience / approaches for business process management
  • Implementations of tools or services that may improve process management
  • Innovative approaches to business and IT working together to improve and deliver on the promise of BPM

Submissions
The submission deadline is October 15, 2009. The program committee will consider all submissions. BPM-C and SOA-C hold many events per year; if your submission is not selected for this event we may still contact you for another future opportunity. If you would only like your submission to be considered for the Long Beach, CA event please indicate this on your paper.

All papers should be prepared in English. Submissions should be limited to one to two pages in length and must include the title of the proposed session, a one-paragraph summary at the top of the paper and summary professional bio information. Submit papers to Program Director Karen Larkowski via e-mail at Karen@omg.org.
